About Arrowood

Arrowood is a 36 apartment security complex, situated on Signal Hill in Plettenberg Bay, on the Garden Route.

The 36 sectional title apartments comprise two and three bedroom units. Ground floor apartments are situated with direct entry onto a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Upper floor apartments on the first and second floors, within three separate apartment blocks, overlook a magnificent view of the Arrowood gardens, with line of sight views of the majestic Indian ocean, the Plett coast-line and beaches, ‘Poortjies’ lagoon, Bitou and Keurbooms rivers, and vistas which stretch across to the Keurbooms beach and the distant Tsitsikamma mountain backdrop.

From Arrowood, one can experience a variety of jaw-dropping sunrises and moonrises. During the spring and summer months it is not unusual to observe whales and dolphins frolicking in the glittering clean sea water.  In addition, a short five minute walk from the main Arrowood entrance, located on Perestrello Street, takes one to the view point at the top of Signal Hill with panoramic views over Plettenberg Bay, the Robberg Beach and Reserve.

Arrowood is a mere five minute walk into the Plettenberg Bay town centre and amenities, which also include a variety of coffee shops and restaurants.

Arrowood is a short walk down to a choice of beaches, including the Look-Out Beach, Bikini Beach, Central beach and a little further Robberg Beach. All of these beaches (as well as Keurbooms Beach a fifteen minute drive away), have achieved ‘Blue Flag’ status.

Some of the Arrowood owners are permanent residents, while some are only residents on a regular part-time holiday basis. Limited short-term holiday letting does occur within the Arrowood complex during the course of the year, rewarding these few owners with a favourable return on their investments. An approved Code of Conduct has been developed and adopted by the Body Corporate in the shared interests of the owners and residents of Arrowood.

The Arrowood Complex is managed and administered by Plett Property Management. Arrowood boasts a history of good governance due to a democratically elected Board of Trustees who provide oversight to all aspects of property management and maintenance throughout the year in accordance with approved annualised budgets and longer term Maintenance Plans approved by the Body Corporate during Annual General Meetings, (AGM)’s).. The Arrowood AGM’s are held annually, usually at the end of December to accommodate a time when the majority of the owners are in residence, although virtual meetings have been necessitated in more recent times as a result of the pandemic.

Arrowood is a small apartment complex, with a large presence and sweeping views, due to its central location alongside Odland Street. Odland Street runs up the hill into town, and down the hill towards Piesang Valley, which is a route down to the Beacon Island Hotel and the Central and Robberg Beaches.

Arrowood was built on the site of the old Plettenberg Bay Primary School, but now it is our home, and, our home from home, it provides for both elevation and proximity. This is the reason for many owners simply refusing to sell or move anywhere else.

The town of Plettenberg Bay not only boasts blue flag beaches, a variety of things to do and places to see, it has also been voted one of the top five holiday destinations in the world for five years running. So the Arrowood owners and residents share in this piece of paradise.
